This Picture Of J.P. isn't from my phone, but I couldn't leave my first born out. He never gets in the way of the camera like some of the other boys. He in fact seems to disappear when the camera comes out. It makes the pictures that i do get of him ,that more special

This past Sunday was the start of our Spring break, After church Cj loaded the boys up in the back of the Burb and they flew a kite up and down the street.

Yes you heard right, they flew the kite from behind the car as Cj, drove them up and down the street.

Yep that's how we do things on olive lane. we make our own wind.

My Crazy Saturday!!!

How should I start? Lets see, I woke up at 7:50 am Freaking out. Why? Because I had to get 3 boys ready for soccer, which means I need to gather soccer cleats, shin guards, Uniforms tops and bottoms(which are somewhere in my mountain of clean clothes), soccer socks and tell them to get dressed and keep them focused. while I am doing that I need to get myself and Russ presentable all in a matter of 10 MINUTES!!!! Since Harvey's soccer game starts at 8'o clock, which again is in 10 minutes.

We finally get their at 8:20am give or take a few minutes.

We our enjoying the game, and then the coach stops and starts telling us(the parents) that it is very important for us to be on time for the game. Since their should be two game going on at the same time instead of just one.

Here is a little background: the boys soccer league actually is quite wonderful, the coaches have it set up to where we play between ourselves, they divided the league into different teams that way the teams can be smaller therefore the boys and girls get to actually play and learn at the same time. Since their is only 4 or5 kids per team,and on the field at a time. this way each kid is playing instead of standing around.

But Since us moms haven't been on time they haven't had enough players to form two different games. so our kids aren't getting enough playing time.

I really felt bad because Harvey was really late. But I wasn't the only one. After awhile they split the teams and they were able to form two games and everyone was Happy.

Then at 9:00 Its J.P and Parkers turn to Play. During our crazy morning I couldn't find a pair of socks, so when Harvey is done he needs to quickly give his socks to Parker, but in the meantime Parker says he needs to go to the bathroom, that cant be taken care of by a tree. So we Load up in the car and find a bathroom.

Before we left I told J.P. to stay and watch Harvey and I take Russ, Harvey only has 5 more minutes left of his game.

When we get back from the bathroom, Harvey's team is done and J.p and Parker's team is on the field and Parker still needs to get some socks on. Which means Parker is late for his game, which also means I am not earning any Brownie points.

I am on a roll Today. Please let my day get better. PLEASE!!!!

One bright spot The Girls Scouts set up camp right next to my chair and I was able to stock up on Samoas.

When we our finally Loading up after a couple of steels and a few goals from the boys. we need to rush off to a Bridal shower that has already started. So of course I am in rush mode, telling the boys what we need to do when we get home so we can get to the Bridal shower in a timely fashion.
So We have the last of the chairs, the water, The girl scout cookies, and all our seat belts. We pull out and make our Way home.

Well we get about 2 or 3 miles and start thinking something doesn't feel right. I turn around and...

I realize RUSS is not in the car. I ask the Boys where Russ is, Hoping beyond hope that he just hopped in the back with the boys, and is enjoying his freedom and I merely forgot to buckle him in the car seat.

But oh no, he is still hanging out at the Soccer fields 3 miles away!!!

I quickly make a U-turn and start for the field, I cant really tell you what I was thinking, I was pretty much in shock at this point. I couldn't believe i did something like this.

Parker on the other hand is repeating out loud "Please let Russ still be their", "Please Let Russ still be their". While I am hitting every red light and having construction workers yell at me to slow down.

When we made It back to the Field, Russ didn't have a clue he had been left and the coaches wife was keeping him safe for me.

I know what you are thinking... Where was your phone? Well I will tell you, It died on me about 10 minutes earlier, so know one could get hold of me and tell me that you left your son at the field and you should come back and get him.

Once again, I am not doing very good on the Brownie Points.

The rest of the day was pretty crazy (I did get a little nap). But overall the Afternoon was Much Better than My Morning!!!

Oh and Shh!!!! Cj doesn't know yet, I haven't figured out how to tell him that I left his PRIDE AND JOY at the soccer fields.

BATH TIME

I don't know about you But bath time isn't one of my strong points. Don't get me wrong I love it when my boys smell like Dove and their hair smells like the latest shampoo and conditioner I am using.

The Part I Have a hard time about is the Fighting, the splashing and the mess that I need to clean up after 3 boys have just used the bathtub as a POOL! Its just so tiring.

But Russ, He is funny you never know what you are going to get with him. Are you going to get the Russ that wants to immediately exit the bath when you put him in or

The Happy Russ who is ready to play with all the leftover toys the boys Brought in while they were swimming.

Today was a Success, He actually sat down and enjoyed himself, so naturally I pulled out the camera, because these days don't come often.

Usually he's trying desperately to climb out of the Tub.

You can Tell he is starting to make a move for it. He is done

Me-" Oh come on Russ just a few more minutes"

Me-"Don't you want to play with the Bubbles"

Russ- " Nope i am done" You better wash me before I jump ship"

And that is usually how long Russell's baths last, A few minutes.

Its not tiring, their isnt any splashing, no puddles of water on the floor to clean up, and no Fighting.

Yes baths with Russ our great!

Russ never falls asleep anywhere except in his crib, except for Sundays. We our usually walking the halls on Sundays with Russ, since our church time falls smack dab in the middle of nap time.

So one of us will take him home and put him down for a nap(because their is no point in walking the halls with a crying baby), But when it is Cj's Turn, he likes to come home and play with him, which is nice for me because than when i make it home I get to enjoy a full nap time. But sometimes he doesn't make it and he take a twenty minute nap on the couch.

Twenty minute nap= a very cranky Russell and a very long Sunday Afternoon.

It doesn't happen every Sunday! Thankfully because, twenty minute naps on the couch doesn't cut it.

But it does make for some very SWEET pictures.

So, Last night I walk in to check on the boys to make sure they are sleeping peacefully, because that is what mothers do, right.

This is what I walked in and found. It was pretty funny so I had to share.

The other night he did the same thing. When he woke up the next day he was all excited because he thought it was so cool that the boxed moved with him every time he moved, and stayed on his head all night.

So when I walked in and the box was on his head yet again I had to document it.

I wonder if it is going to be an everynight occurrence? I will keep you posted.

Whenever the camera comes out Russell comes a runnin!!

Today when I brought my camera out to down load the pictures of Parker sleeping last night on to my computer. Russell was right their on my lap, he cam out of know where.

I'm just kidding, I did see him come and plop himself on my lap. But the camera must make some noise that I don't hear that he can.

So of course I took some pictures, here's the result(i love having a kid that likes the camera).

Every time I told him to turn he would and every time I told him to look he would. He is a very good listener.

This past week we have been fighting colds and sicknesses. Parker had it the worst than Russ, and Today JP wakes up and says that he still feels really sick. So I let him stay home to rest and get better. So I had him hear and I took advantage of it, and took a few pictures today.

Today was Pillow pets, blankets and the couch day. It was very relaxing and hopefully enough rest to get the boys Healthy.

The Sounds that make Olive lane

The Soundtrack of Olive lane.

1. Cop Sirens

2. And sometimes paired with a High speed chase right outside my front door
(i am just thankful the boys were at school when that chase was going on).
It really did happen on the 2Nd week we were hear. It was very exciting

3. Spanish music blaring out of the cars that drive by

Parker: "Uh I really hate that music" every time a car drives by. Its pretty funny.

4.Spanish preacher, preaching at the local super market. ( could here it from my house and the supermarket is 4 or 5 blocks away, he was screaming!!!)

5.During the Christmas season you could hear the performances going on at the Temple from my house, It was really cool and peace full.

6. And last but not least is the bike horn (below)

They ride around all hours of the day through our neighborhood making that Honking noise. They sale Ice cream and who knows what else, maybe Tamales I have never stopped one to see. The boys have tried, They always get them to turn around come towards them, probably getting them excited for a sale, when I walk out shaking my head no. Their face falls and they turn probably cursing the boys all the way to their next target.

That Honking has been ingrained into my head and will always remind me of olive lane, when eventually we move on from this part of our lives.

3 sizes to big

Harvey, I don't know why he insists on wearing J.p.'s shirts, but what I do know is that he refuses to wear anything that is his. This is what he was wearing when i put him on the bus. He did have J.p.'s Soccer shorts on and I had to bribe him to take them off. I told him that he could keep that shirt on if he would At least put those pants on with socks and shoes. He agreed.

That is another thing he wont wear socks, he says that they tickle him and wont wear them.

Even though he is the Pickiest kid I know, when it comes to clothing he is the funniest and the happiest kid in the world. He is always willing to help when I ask him and never gets angry, unless its directed at Parker. But that is another story for another time.
I love you Harvey, never change please stay the same.

Oh and this little man, saw that I was taking a pic of Harvey and had to get in the action. Harvey walks off and Russell took his spot. It was pretty funny because I didn't tell him to do it, he did it on his own.

Parkers Love Notes

About a month ago I was cleaning out the boys bedroom and came across these Beauties. I asked Parker about them one time and he got really embarrassed, it was pretty cute. So anyways as I was cleaning I found like 4or5 of them stashed between Parker's bed and the Wall. I think They are pretty funny and wanted to share them with you.

But If you ever see Parker you cant mention them or I will be in big trouble!! Parker has a temper that I would not like to see.

Beef and Bean Burritos

My name is Jessica and I love to COOK! But I am not a cook, as in I cant pull out random ingredients and make something new from whatever I have in stock or from my favorite ingredients and be able to make this amazing new meal.

I am a Copy Cat, I like to copy a recipe word for word, I even have a hard time substituting ingredients for other ingredients, I'm not apposed I just don't do it. I feel like it wont be as delicious (if they wanted it like that they would of made it like that in the first place. right..)If its not in the cupboard than i don't make it. SORRY its just the way I am.

So Today will be the first day that I post my Favorite recipes that I like to cook. Most recipes my boys Like, I say most because they don't like everything ,and I tend to cook for Cj and I, and hope for the best with the boys. If i didn't do that i would be making Dino chicken, and mac and cheese every night.

Russ and grey Hairs

This little man was up on and off all night last night until 4:00 in the morning. Which basically means I am exhausted this morning(and i haven't even finished recovering from Christmas break).
which also means i wont be able to run this morning which leads to having no patience at all(running relives my stress which helps with the patience) because i am exhausted.
Which also leads me to not having any energy to clean my house(sorry honey, i know its pretty bad, hopefully tomorrow),which doesn't make me all that happy.

But Russ seams to have all the energy Today because this morning Harvey is hollering "mom come and see Russ", and i walk into the room to find him in this bucket, how was he able to climb up their I don't know, but he did. I didn't put him there and I know Harvey didn't.

Which means I gave Birth to a Stunt Devil. Do stunt Devils make a lot of money? Maybe he will be able to buy me my ranch when he is making his millions for payment, for giving me my first grey hairs.

So I take him out of the bucket and go back to the couch and relax because i am sooo Tired, and what do i hear 5minutes later. Russ crying! I walk in the Kitchen to find this. He is climbing the cabinets and didn't make it.

Russ can I please have some of your Energy! But right know I am going to put you down for a nap and take one myself right after I go to the mirror and pick out my new grey hairs you gave me this morning.

Boys dress up!

why is it that boys think it is so cool to put dads shoes on?

Well I think its pretty cute, that they want to be like their dad.

Who ever said that boys don't play dress up was defiantly wrong. They just don't wear dresses or try to put on make up, they just throw on a pair of dads work boots and walk around the house in them.

Its pretty funny to hear their conversation as they are trotting around the house in these 20sizes to big of shoes.

Harvey: lets switch
Parker: OK
Harvey: OK know i am the dad and you are the son
Parker: No I am the dad and you are the son

Everything always turns into and argument with these two, but at least they are playing together,someday they will learn to sort out their differences.

Yes and Parker once again doesn't have any clothes on. Maybe someday i will get a picture of him with some clothes.

Grandpa Carlings

(this picture is Christmas morning i didn't have a pic of today since i didn't go)

So everyone knows that I am on this mission to raise strong , responsible Gentleman that can work. which is very hard in the city surrounded by video game. So, I asked the other day if their was anything that the boys could do at Grandpa to help out and learn to work.
Grandpa said he would call me sometime next week and we could come on over and rake some leaves. I was like OK cool.
An hour later Grandpa calls me and says hey Jess have the boys ready tomorrow at 8:30 and I will be by to pick them up. I say Grandpa I can come and help, Grandpa says" oh no you just stay home and take care of the little guy. So we say are goodbyes and i hang up and I start to panic, because i was planning on being their to make sure they do a good job and if they get out of hand. So I go in and talk to the boys and tell them that they are going to go over to Grandpa Carling's in the morning to rake leaves and work. I start to tell them the rules and that they need to behave and listen and do everything that Grandpa says. They say "OK mom".
They wake up in the morning knowing that they are going to work at grandpas today.
J.p is a little nervous that he isn't going to be able to play any video game today, and I am nervous because I hope my boys behave themselves and do what they are told( not that I think my boys wont mind, you just never know when you aren't around and i don't want it to be hard on grandpa). So they are gone for a couple of hours and I start thinking "OK they haven't called yet so they must be doing all right. Come to find out they had the time of their lives. Grandma and grandpa made them breakfast and they had Hot chocolate and they raked leaves, picked nuts, fed the chicken and cows, and they each came home with a bag of Oranges(my boys live for oranges). That learning experience was a success. Know I need to figure out the next thing I am going to introduce them too. Maybe i will teach J.p to mow the lawn. HA HA!! Wouldn't that be great.
THANK YOU Grandpa for a great time and helping me with the boys experience they will never forget it.

My Mother-in-law every year puts on a manger scene and has the boys and girls dress up and then tell the story about Christmas night and we sing songs. Its really fun and puts me in the Christmas spirit.

I am always looking for fun and exciting things to put in the stocking for Christmas. Today I came across these blank board books and puzzle. My Boys love to create their own books. I loved these and they are very reasonable. Check them out here athttp://rompbklyn.com. You can also make great grandma gift by putting pictures in them.

I thought this doll was pretty cute. Obviously i wont be needing it with 4 boys but someone with girls would love it. You decorate it yourself and when you want to change it you just wash it and start all over. I thought that was pretty cool.

"SWISH AND FLICK"

All of you know how much i love Harry Potter, right? Well if you don't, now you know. I happen to be going through my pictures yesterday and I came across this photo. It reminded me of the part in Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone and Hermione is showing Ron how to do the Spell "Lengardium Leviosa" and she is telling him to Swish and Flick.

OK do me favor because i know you are saying in your head that i am crazy, if you have the movie go and watch that part you will know what i mean. Its pretty cute and it looks like Russell is doing the Swish and flick movement that Hermione does, he is even holding it the same way.

Our Thanksgiving weekend!!

Thursday

We had a really fun and exciting weekend. I started out Thanksgiving weekend running the Turkey Trot and ran it in 54.12 minutes. Then went straight home to make a pie, green bean casserole, take a shower, get the kids ready all in an hour and a half (I was only a half hour late, i am patting myself on the back as we speak just remebering it). It kind of sounds like a Triathlon, and the events are running, baking, bathing(I know, i am adork).

So anyways back to thanksgiving. We went to Great Grandpa Carlings and had tons of wonderful food. Grandpa Carling (cj's dad) was giving tractor rides,and as you can see Russell was enjoying every minute of his ride. I don't know why But I think its the cutest thing when they cry. Am I the only one who thinks that?

Harvey was riding the little Tractor, at one point i saw him dragging Varis around on it.(where is my camera when that was taking place, I don't know.)
Russell was happy after he got off the ride, and chose to explore on is own the rest of the day.

The Carlings always rent one of those bounce houses. This year it had a slide and as you can see my boys don't waste time breaking all the rules of the bounce house. But at least they are having fun. Right?

Friday

Friday we Drove up with the McClure's to the Carling cabin to go sledding and cut down a Christmas tree. This picture pretty much explains the entire drive, except Russell needs to be crying. Russell pretty much cried the whole time. It was really sad.

Saturday

Saturday we were taking the kids sledding, as we were waiting for the guys to come home so we could go. I took a few pics (ok alot of pics). There isn't much to do when you are waiting so why not pull out the camera and take a few pictures.

Parker loved his snowball. at one point he was pulling it in the sled.
If you look closely you can see Parker's snowball in the sled.
The boys came home and we went Sledding!
I kind of forgot the boys snow boots at home so we weren't very prepared, but we made do. the boys just didn't last long.They got cold really fast. But as you can see they still enjoyed it.

That night the kids were glued to the t.v. watching Toy Story 3. We also made smores over the fire place. It was really fun.

Sunday

On Sunday we went out into the forest to find the perfect Christmas tree. It started out with just a light snow, then it turned into a blizzard. It was pretty cool, scary, but pretty cool. I don't think it would of been scary if our tires weren't balled and we were tying to drive in snow on a narrow rode. But us Carling's Like to live on the edge.

Cj was a good sport and let me be a little choosy when he was thinking:

" Jess you probably should just pick one because i really don't want to get stuck up here on this mountain with this blizzard that is getting worse be the second!

But I finally found one and Cj cut it down. You cant see how bad the snow is, but it is pretty bad.

When we went back to the cabin I was able to get Cj to take a quick family picture between packing, cleaning and winterizing the cabin.
Overall it was a blast! I cant wait to do it again next year. But i am going to get all new tires first.

The "CAST" is off!!

JP was finally able to get his CAST off today. The first thing says is "now i can play on the play ground at Recess. For the past 6 weeks JP has spent his Recesses in the Library. He did mention that he is getting really good a Typing on the computer. I Love you JP, ENJOY your freedom!!!

Strays

I want to start out by saying that I am really enjoying my ward and i have made some really good friends and the boys have friends that they can play with after school(which means that they are walking distance so they can go over anytime)which is really nice. we are transitioning really well, cant complain except(yes there is an except which is kind of like a but ) for the strays. We have so many darn CATS! I know this is a picture of a dog, he was wondering the streets the other day. He past my house a few times, he is probably a pet of someones i just didn't have any other animal pics. We don't have problems with dogs its the CATS. We are in the area where people when they don't want their CAT, they figure(cat dropper offer) "oh we will drop them here and hope for the best". NOOOOO!! quit dropping them off! Some people have Roosters who make loud noises, here on Olive we have cats. They are pretty loud when they want to be, at night mostly.

Cj was going out to truck one night and found one dead between my car and his(i know its grouse) he called me and i went out and saw it, the creepy thing is that their was a black cat across the street staring straight at me, it was like he was watching to make sure he was going to be taken care of.

So Cj and I felt the pressure, so I had Cj go and get the shovel and we gave him a proper burial in the back yard so we can remember the STRAY. No just kidding , that's what we should of done. But instead I wouldn't go near the black trash can the whole entire week until the trash man came.

I love how her kids are hard working. She is always posting about how her kids were up early to go bring in the cattle. Don't we all wish we could raise hard working, respectable, independent, and in my case very gentlemanly(that might not be a word) kids? I d0!!!

In our society are kids are getting off pretty easy, All they ever want to do is play video games, at least that is what my kids want to do. I know my kids when i ask them to do one thing they start to grumble and complain that life isn't fair and i usually have to resort to some type of bribe. But that is all going to change, I have decided that i am not going to just think about raising hard working, respectable, independent, gentlemanly boys, I am going to do it. So here are some of my ideas.

1. They do chores everyday. I have them do one room and they can choose. They don't get an option they have to do it. I say that because they use to complain and i would tell them OK fine don't do it, i wont pay you. My boys would say O.k I don't want any money I don't care. so it always back fired on me. So know i just say its not an option you will do it and you will get paid. (They don't complain anymore they just do it.)

2. Saturday work! and I don't mean stuff around the inside of the house. because honestly i like to clean my house once a week myself so i know that it is clean from top to bottom. I mean outside work. Mow the lawn, pick weeds, etc. Example Someday I want to have a big yard and have chickens and a garden and the boys will take care of the chickens. clean the coupe and gather the eggs, and whatever is left they can sale and make some extra cash. They would pick the weeds and gather all the food from the garden.

I don't have that know and not everyone does in the city, But i do know a few people that do so i even thought about going over their and seeing if their was anything the boys could help out with, and i would pay them(my boys). It would also teach them how to do service at the same time has hard work.

3. Introducing them to new things. The boys and I every other Saturday go over to Lowe's, they have this clinic called BUILD AND GROW. My boys love it and look forward to it every Saturday. This past Saturday they built a periscope. when they are finished and turn in their equipment they show it to the lady and they give them a patch. It teaches them a new skill and they also get a sense of accomplishment from finishing their project and then being able to play with something that they built. (and not playing on the video games. They have built so far a bug catcher,car, firetruck, dog leash holder, and a bat I think their others but cant remember.

So these are some of my ideas. I don't know if they will all work and some of them are dreams and wishes. But I thought i would at least like to try. I am no expert at all and i am just learning. I thought i would share my ideas and see if you had any that you would be willing to share with me. I need any help and as much advise as possible.

Now where does Pioneer Women fit into this, she doesn't really , i just really like her blog and she motivates me.

Yesturday we walked down to the parade on main street. The boys had so much fun. On are way home we had the kids pose with the big ladies that look like they are naked, I dont know i could be wrong. It is a little iffy. I love how J.p. sits in the ladies lap.

I wish i would of been able to get some pics of the parade. I was in the back and couldnt get a good shot. I loved all the old cars with all the proud grandpas in them(which they should be). I think my favorite part and the saddest was when the future kids came marching down with Picture of all the heros that past. It was a really cool moment to remember how they served our country and still are. Good Job!! keep up the good work.

1st of all i would like to say that i am not prejudice in anyway and I really don't care that they want to pick through my disgusting trash every Monday and Thursday to get all my cans and plastic bottles. Whatever puts the food on the table right, Especially in this economy.

I just wanted to mention it because this is part of life on Olive Lane and i am marking, remembering, journaling, blogging about life on olive. You would never see that in my Old neighborhood. If you did their would be a few phone calls, nasty looks and very angry neighbors. But here on Olive you just turn the other way. I think i am going to separate the cans and bottles from the normal trash so they don't have to dig. They will just open up the trash and SURPRISE, you don't need to dig, I did it for you!!

I bought this couch at a garage sale for $15. I am going to attempt to reupholster it. I was thinking of maybe doing a velvet colored fabric on the front and then the back doing maybe a striped. The nail heads i would recover with the striped fabric and the cording i would s\also do in the striped. I could also do maybe a floral pattern with the striped. The wood i am going to sand down and stain it a darker brown almost black. I don't know

What do you think?

I know i have posted about soccer before, but today was the boys last game until the spring. I wanted to pay tribute to them for a job well done.

I loved having the boys in soccer. It always made me nervous to put the boys in a sport, because of their age difference, I didn't want to have to go to 3 different practices and 3 different games. But I was able to get J.P. and Parker on the same team and Harvey on another. I was still crazy but surprisingly able to handle it, which I didn't think i could.

We all came out learning something, The boys learned how to play soccer and I learned how to relax and not always worry about being able to keep up with the house cleaning and the dinner on the table before 6:30.

CANT WAIT TILL SPRING!!

Life and Times on Olive Lane

I am going to start a new segment on the Carling Blog that is called,

LIFE ON OLIVE LANE or something close to that.

About a few months ago we moved over to Olive lane and it has been very exciting, their is always something going on like High speed chases with a cop, drug busts with the Swat team and undercover cops and their dogs. Yeah it was pretty legit, Some guy preaching about many gods in Spanish at the local grocery store and i could hear it all the way to my house. Then the most resent was on Halloween, its not that big of a deal but I thought it was pretty funny. We would get the usual trick or treaters, you know kids under 10 all dressed really cute in their costumes. Then we would get their parents too.. they would claim that its for their kids at home already in bed, As they are saying this i am thinking, well OK, my kid that is in bed this early is 1years old and only has a total of four teeth but more power to you!

So from now on i am going to post exciting things that happen around hear so you can enjoy them with me, and help me count the days till we move to a safer part of the neighborhood.

On the upside i really do like living this close to the Temple and I really like the ward. And their are some really cool kids for the boys to hang out with. So it not all that terrible, Dont worry Mom! I just thought it would be fun to post about the things that are going on around hear.

OK so i am trying to figure this whole camera thing out. So I spent half of Friday taking pictures of Russ walking up and down the side walk, trying to take a clear (not blurry) picture. I am pretty good at making my focal point blurry and everything clear. So hear is the end result.

Buckle Fracture!!

This past weekend JP broke his arm. At first we thought it was a sprain. So we kept an eye on it. By Sunday and a bunch of people freaking out at church and making me feel like a bad mom. Cj took him to urgent care(they don't know what they are talking about), two hours later, Cj comes in and says it is a pretty bad break and they will have to either relocate it or he will have to have surgery. So of course know i am a little worried because we didn't think it was that bad. So i called the pediatric cardiologist and got him in right away. So yesterday JP and i went down their thinking were either going to have to relocate or have surgery.

Half hour later we leave the office with a "buckle" fracture(the most common break) and a red cast. Thanks but No thanks to urgent care!!!

JP turned 8 on the Wednesday the 6Th. But we ha a birthday party today for him. He wanted to have a video game party. It was really great and easy. The boys just played video games for an hour and a half, then we opened presents and ate cake.(i forgot to get out the ice cream. no one seemed to mind). I was also able to get them to take a picture. What is up with the peace sign, seems like my boys do it in every picture.

The boys couldn't wait to get wet and dirty. Right outside our house their was a huge puddle that the boys were riding through. They did that for awhile and then we went and found more puddles around the neighborhood. They thought it was so cool. I felt like such a cool mom.

This past week RUSS has really gotten his personality. Between Starting to walk, standing on cousins, climbing on stairs and being a daredevil on the bean bag. He is a pretty wonderful baby. If i could guarantee another on like him, I might consider having another one.

We heard Ava(Jamie little girl)crying in the other room, so we went to check it out and this is what we found. Poor Ava. She is definitely out numbered at my house.

Again not watching my kids and hear Russell crying and this is what I happen upon. Ya my life is over. He has actually done this since this photo and has almost gotten to the top.

This video if it works right. Is pretty funny. Russ loves to climb up the bean bag to the top and roll back down. It keeps him entertained for a little while.

Summer Sports

This last summer the boys did swim team. They loved it, and i loved it because they quit saying how bored they were over the summer. When we came home, they were just glad they were still swimming a ton of laps. They were tired , but they still enjoyed it.

I LOVE IT WHEN I WALK INTO A ROOM AND FIND RUSSELL SITTING ON HIS KNEES, TO WERE HIS FEET STICK OUT FROM BEHIND HIM. IT PUTS A SMILE ON MY FACE EVERY TIME.

I don't know how it is in your family but i cant keep a room clean longer than a couple hours(they are walking tornado's). So i told the boys I would pay them an allowance if they did some chores. One of the chores is to clean the bathroom, the first day JP had to clean the bathroom. I over heard JP and Parker talking. Parker went in to go to the bathroom when JP was still cleaning it.

"Parker you better not pee on that toilet because i just got done cleaning it, LITERALLY just got done cleaning it".

I couldnt help but laugh, it was so cute. i hope now they will be more careful when they go. Since they are the ones cleaning it up. I could only hope:)

Labor Day Weekend

Our Weekend was filled with exciting moments. We should of, would of love to go to California or go up north and enjoyed the cool weather but we......

almost went to urgent care for Parker when he was jumping his ramp an landed on his chin. (but to my great relief,Parker knows how to fall gracefully)

Cj did get to run up and hunt for a day! But unfortunately didn't come home with anything. Russell was very excited to see dad. He is turning out to be a daddy's boy.

The boys and I had an exciting trip to Sam's club. I don't know about you, but my second favorite thing to shop for is food. (first is clothes, Obviously!)

On Labor Day Jamie(my sister-in-law) got everyone together and we had a Barbecue and went swimming. Russell just got dunked by Parker (on accident).

this is my new favorite. This cd is excellent. I listen to this cd so much that my kids are now singing the words. For the past month it hasnt left my cd player. If you dont have this cd yet, you need to go out and buy it. You wont be disappointed. My favorite tracks are

I know it seems like I have fallen off the face of the earth. But i promise i will be better at posting!!! I got my computer back up and running so i can start takeing pictures again a putting them on the computer. The summer was to short, seems like JP just got out of school instead of having to return to school. Jp is now in kindergarten and is enjoying every moment. but I think his favorite part is riding the bus. The picture I posted is basicly sums up what we did all summer. we lived in the pool. I have also found a new love for reading. I didnt think i would ever say that. I am still not sure I can believe it my self but. Its all I can do to find another book to read. I am really obssessed right know. I have read breaking dawn and the rest of the Twighlight series like five times. I have also gotten in to nicholas Sparks. I think my favorite of his so far is THE CHOICE!! But I have also read Dear John and True believer and I am finishing up At First Sight. My only problem is if I am going to cry like a baby in a book it better have a happy ending that is why I love!!!!! The Choice. I have also read Can you keep a secret by Sophie Kinsella. she is the one who rights the shopaholic series. It is really a good love story.(it does cuss alot in it but it is really good.) well we also had some birthday Parker Turned 4 in August and Harvey just Turned 2 on wednesday. I know when i get the pictures i will post. I hope everyone is doing great.

Ok so I have been meaning to read the book twilight, because every raves about how good they are. So I barrowed the book two sundays ago and I havent been able to put it down since. I cant believe i am going to admit this but I have read all three of them twice in the past week and a half and might start it again. I know I am totally obsessed. I cant wait till the 4th book come out. and the movie. I feel another midnight showing. so if you havent meet Edward yet I definately recomend. I hope this video works. If you are anything like me you have seen this video a thousand times. but it is the only one i could find that would let me down load it.

So spring break has been a nice break from school and lets play music. the pictures don't really have anything to do with what we did, well yeah i guess they do because all we did is sit around and eat and ride bikes and do some more eating. If you know Harvey he loves to eat. Cj is feeding Harvey some ice cream. and this face he is making is his new thing. when he gets excited about something he makes this face. I also had to throw in a few more since i haven't done a picture post in a while. Oh ya! On Sunday we weren't home longer than 5 minutes and JP Had split the inside of his lip open.He was on the skateboard and riding it across the street on his hands and knees(i hope you can picture that) and when up the curb. well the skateboard stopped at the curb and JP cept going. I know gross and sad at the same time. Thank goodness it stopped bleeding and so we didn't have to get stitches. JP when he falls, he falls hard.

White Chili

(thanks to the wonderful Linda Slater)

4 chicken breasts baked or boiled/cut into pieces and Sauteed (or 2to 3 cans)

1 1/2tsp. garlic

1 tbls. Olive Oil

1 med onion chopped

2 cans great white beans (northern) drained and rinsed

2 small cans chopped Green onions

1 tsp. cumin

1 tsp. oregano

1 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. white pepper

14 oz. can chicken broth

1 cup sour cream (put in Last!)

1/2 cup whipping cream-( put in last!)

May also add white or yellow corn /drained

Fry onions in Olive oil. Add chicken and other ingredients. Use only 1/2 chicken broth to if it is too thick or thin.

Add creams last just to heat them through (so they wont curdle)

ENJOY!

I made this recipe for bunco the other night and it was a hit. You cant really mess up this recipe. I was in such a Rush I put in the whole chicken broth and accidentally put in a whole cup of whipping cream and it turned out great.

McKay my brother in law married Lanie Church on February 22. It was so Beautiful and Lani was the prettiest bride. It was so fun. I am so sorry about my blog. I haven't been very good at updating it. We had a wonderful Christmas and of course i have a video of Christmas but no pictures. Once i can get a cord for my video camera i will post. Adell and Logan were in town and we had a blast. other than that nothing exciting has happened. The boys had their first t-ball game last week and I brought my camera case and their was no camera. The Polar Express

Last Saturday we went and road the the Polar Express. Jp ,Parker and Harvey enjoyed it alot, They had the best time. They handed out cookies and Hot chocolate while they read the Polar Express Story.

Jp and Parker are so excited to Santa. We went and picked him up at the North Pole. He then comes on the Train and passes out a bell.

Harvey thinks he is singing the Christmas songs. He is actually screaming really loud. usually it would bother me but this time it was alright because you couldn't hear him over everyone singing, he was loving life. " cookies, screaming what else can I ask for"

WINTER WONDERLAND!!!
We went to the mountains this past weekend to cut down our Christmas tree. It was so much fun and hope we have the chance to go up every year. When we were driving up this year their wasn't a spec of snow and the next morning this is what we woke up to. A Winter Wonderland!

I Love Christmas Time, I love the Lights, the Activities you can do with your kids. And the Boys Have this spirit about them that come during this time of year.This year the Boys and I Decorated a Ginger Bread House. I thought I would show you how it Turned out.

During the Holidays Cj and I and the Boys always

1. Go and Look at Christmas lights around the neighborhood and at the Temple

2. We turn their bedroom into a winter wonderland

3. we go visit Santa

4. We watch Christmas shows everyday. Especially Monday nights

5. We read Christmas stories before Bed

6. We light a fire, and the boys love doing that With Hot Coco.

7. This will be the first time this year but we put a blanket up in the Hallway so the boys can see the presents all at the same time

I am very sorry about my blog. It has been very boring lately. I haven't been very good at keeping it updated. Nothing Exciting has happened lately, to post anything. Thanksgiving was fun. we had a wonderful meal at cjs Aunts house. While we were their Parker was trying to get up into the Trampoline and had fallen back and hurt his head. We thought that it might need stitches. But it looked worse then it really was. thank goodness. I didn't want to have to take a trip to urgent care. than we watched movies and the Asu game. Well cj watched the Asu game so I wouldn't be able to tell you who won. I did watch OCTOBER ROAD. which is one of my new Favorites. Jillian did you get to see it ? If you didn't, you need to watch it on Monday. Its really good. Well I will try to take some pictures this week and post. Maybe Harvey will make up his mind and start walking, Since he can, but he chooses not to. He has only taken like 3 or4 steps and decided crawling was easier. Well I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving!

Show is family friendly so bring your Kids !!

Show to benefit 23-year-old Jennifer Eaton who is in St. Joseph's Hospital in a Coma after suffering from a stroke due to diabetes while on a trip to Sandiego.

Jen is progressing with rehab and lots of love from family and friends.

Showtime is 4:30pm and the $15 fee goes to the Eaton family. All proceeds and donations are gifts and are greatly Appreciated

Thanks to the Jesterz and Jeff Rawls for allowing us the use of the facility and the fun!!

This past week has been crazy. With Adell being home. Which was a blast!

Then Halloween, we had parties and costume planning. I also was in the process of Making my sister-in-laws Baby shower announcements. They turned out so cut. I will have to post one. Here are some Highlights from Halloween.

Parker was sitting by the candy and waiting for trick or treaters. Every time I would come by and stand next to him he would tell me to go back into the Family Room. Every once in a while you would see him walk out side to check and see if their were any trick or treaters coming.

This was just a couple of days ago. Parker and Jp got a hold of a Marker and Drew all over Harvey. Poor kid!

Shnepf Farms

We went to Shnepf Farms with Lisa and Aaron last Thursday. The boys had so much fun!. They got to go on a train ride.

Parker found this Pumpkin on the otherside of the Pumpkin Patch. And came and brought it to us. It was really cute because he was struggling, when he was carying it to us. Because it was half his size.

Cj and the boys went on the train ride. That was their favorite part of the night. Cj said that the boys screamed on part of it. Because it was the Haunted train ride.

Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays. Because the boys get really excited. Jp comes home from school and asks me everyday if today is Trick or Treat day! Last year Jp was A figherfighter, and Parker was a skeleton. Every Haloween I always make the mistake of not getting their Halloween costumes untill the week of. So Jp really wanted to be figherfighter. But since it was so last minute all we could find was An oversized fireman. I still think he looks cute.
This year I went and got their costumes 3weeks before and it was stress free. Except for the fact that both boys insisted on being power rangers. Actually jp first wanted to be Teenage Mutan Nija Turtle, But I Hate the costume with plastic masks. So then he found Wolverine. We finally agreed. Then their is Parker. I love him He is so Strong minded. When he has His mind set on something you cant change it. Well I wanted to have him Be the Jolly Green Giant. Rachel has this really cute costume. I was going to make him. Well that idea was shot down completely. He through a huge fit, and walked around the house saying, "I dont want to be the Jolly Green Giant. I want to be an X-men. So I wasnt going to be able to change his mind. So he is now the Black Power ranger Because this is the only Super hero costume that I could find. Thank You Disney .Com. Jp and I had to do alot of convinsing to even make him like it. Parker wanted to be a super Hero just like his Big Brother. In the end Parkers costume turned out to be alot nicer than jp and cheaper. Next year I am going to go staight to Disney.com

1. Where would you say your testimony is the strongest? Prayer and family home evening. my boys love family home evening and you dont think they are listening, but what they remember and repeat to you the following week amazes me. I know the three things we need to do to keep our kids safe is prayer and family home and scripture study. We also need to teach them by example. Let them see us praying and reading our scriptures. Then they will make prayer and Scripture study important to them ,because it is important to us.

2. What do you struggle with the most (church related)? Going to the temple.(it is so hard to find time to go with 3 little kids running around. and Personal Scripture study, after reading scriptures and a story the boys pick out for me to read each night, I am always to tired to read myself. I keep hoping President Hinckley will give us the Book of Mormon Challenge Again
3. Do you have your food storage? Yes, we try to order a little bit every month. I Spend the same amount each month. $50. Its not a real big number so i Never say no I cant do it this month.

4. Do you have a favorite scripture? What is it? I am the way, the truth and the life: No man cometh unto the father but by me John 14:6

5. What is your favorite Church hymn? " I know that my redeemer lives. The Efy 2000 Cd If you dont have that cd, it is a must have.

6. Do you have Any Sunday Traditions? Not yet, I am still trying. But I did make the boys a sunday box with a bunch of sunday games and movies that we could do as a family. the boys really like it.

7. Do you have a Patriarchal Blessing? No, I know it is on my mind daily to go get it.

8. Do you believe in angels? Yes. Jp my oldest thinks he sees an angel over grandma netts house. I wish he would see one over ours

9. Do you like the ward you're in? Yes !!!!!! I love it I never want to move out. I love everyone in the ward. And my boys and Husband enjoy it also.

11. What calling do you want? Anyone they are inspired to give me. except maybe Adult sunday school teacher, But I really love the one that I have. Because I am a convert so I wasnt in YW very long. So its like I am doing everything for the First time.

14. Personally what do you need to work on with the church? I Need to work on everything, I am still learning, I loved the calling with Sunday school (12year olds) Because everything was broken down for me. Everything made since to me.

16. Do you have a favorite temple? I LOVE them all.. But If I had to choose I would pick the Salt Lake temple, because it is one of the first ones I have been into after I got married, and my second would be , The Sandiego Temple and I get to go to that one in December for my Best friends Wedding. I am so excited.

I love to Scrapbook !!! So 2 years ago I started to Scrapbook wedding sign in books. What i do is scrapbook your engagement pictures and that becomes your sign in book. In one book you get 20 fully srapbooked 8 1/2 x 11 pages and 10 pages to sign. Each one is done in your wedding colors. The fun thing is that you don't need to be getting married. If you are like me your engagement pictures are sitting in a box somewhere. Collecting Dust. Lets get those pictures out and scrapbook them.

I love the boys being in school. because they come home with the cutest things. Yesterday Parker came home with his hand prints and a cute little poem to go with it.

Then today Jp came home with his "Pet Rock" When he got in the car I asked him what it was and he said "its my pet Rock" I told him that it was really cool. then he told me that all his friends were laughing at it. I asked them what the other kids looked like and he said they looked like Squares. I saw a couple Jps is the cutes.

* I lived in Utah for a week with my good friend Megan. I was their for about a week when Cj came and got me. 8 months later we got married
* We have now been married for 6 years in December
* I was only married for 3 months when I had gotten Pregnant with JP
* I had Toxemia with JP and he came 7 weeks early
* I am a convert to the Church, I was Baptized when I was 18. It was the best thing that has ever happened to me besides my husband and kids.
* I was sweet 16, than a week later I had my first kiss and the next day he went and told everyone that how bad of a kisser I was.
* I am the only Granddaughter on my moms side. So it isn't looking to good for me, on getting a girl.
* My favorite candy is Brach Candy corns
*I love cooking, Cj always makes fun of me because i cook like we are having 20 people over. So if anyone wants to come over we always have plenty of food.
* I never went to college, actually I take that back I did go to MCC for 3 weeks than I met cj and that was that. But i would love to go back and get a nursing degree.
*I love to work out and would love to start training for a half marathon. So if anyone would be interested let me know.
*I love being a mom, I wouldn't trade it for the world.
*I was the biggest tom boy when i was little, all i did was play with the boys. Basketball, football etc.
*I watch Harry Potter everyday!
* I would love to be able to sing. The only singing i can do is in the car with the radio up loud so it drowns me out.

* When i was little I would rearrange my bed room on a weekly basis. I thought I was an Interior decorator.

MY 1ST HAIR CUT !!!

So i did it! I finally cut or buzzed Harvey's hair. Haven't wanted to cut his hair because I love long hair. I love the wings, and Harvey's hair has been coming in platinum blonde so his ends were darker, it really looked cute. Here is the Before and After pictures. What do you think? which one do you like better? I love it longer, I just need to get used to the short hair cut. The good thing is that now I can style it.

Harvey's Birthday Party

I haven't been able to post any pictures from Harvey's birthday yet. I have been so busy. Sorry Adell. I know I told you I would post you pictures and a movie from the party. Here are the pictures but for some reason it isn't letting me download the movie. The movie is pretty sad because Harvey is crying his eyes out just like the picture below. We were blowing out candles and Harvey went to reach for the candle and we didn't catch it in time, and he burned his hand with candle wax. It was so sad, he was scared to touch his cake at first. He thought that it was going to burn him. So he was hesitant. He eventually got past it and started digging in. I love it when they take their first bite of cake.

Parkers first day of Preschool!!!

Today was Parkers first day of school. He has been waiting for this day ever since Jp started school. So it was a great day. He loved it, he came home with this little had that said I am a star. I cant believe I have to kids in school. OK on another note, I have to explain the story behind the backpack. Well we went to go pick him up a back pack, so we went to our usual store FREEDOM BOARD SHOP they have great stuff and alot of Toddler stuff. We had a few back packs narrowed down, but he wasn't thrilled. until we realized that there was more backpacks on the other side of the store Parker runs over to the other side and looks at the back packs, and what does he see this checkered one. He said that he wants the racing back pack. I couldn't change his mine. If you know Parker once he has his mind set on something he doesn't budge. So now we have an over sized back pack. But I do have to admit I think its pretty cute, and we will have it for a very long time.

Maybe this is what my little girl will look like with a Head band. j/k

The Many Reasons why Harvey is so Special !!!

1. He was 8pounds 1 ounce when he was born. He was so beautiful. (But we all think our babies our beautiful.) I had thought the doctor said it wrong, so i asked him twice. He is my biggest baby and still is.

2. He was Born on September 3, 2006. He came a day early. I actually wanted him to come a week late because we weren't in our house yet. So for 2 weeks him and I slept on the couch. Maby that was why he was so hard. He also had trouble Nursing and tore me apart. It was a rough start. But we made it through.

3.He was a hard baby, but now is an Angel. They always say "hard babies easy toddlers." Come to find out know he was probably just very hungry, because he would cry all the time.

4. He loves to eat. I cant keep the Boy full, And he will eat anything you put in front of him. I don't think Heavenly Father gave him an on /off switch.

5. He is always happy !!!! Every time i go in to get him from his crib from a nap or first thing in the morning, He gets so happy and jumps up and down and ends up falling over, its so cute.

6. He will go anywhere with me and is such a trooper.

7. He is wonderful at taking naps, and loves them.

8. He loves to follow his brothers around and does it all day long. You can just tell what he is thinking when he watches them. "Sure wish I could do that!"

9.He also loves to take baths with them it is so cute.

10. His blonde hair. It looks like I Highlight it with golden blonde streaks. It is pretty cool.

11. I love his chubby legs and cheeks. I know some people might not think he is that chubby, those of you that have seem him in person but again he is my biggest for me.

Yeah!! my best friend Megan Thomas is getting married. She is getting Married Dec. 28 in the San Diego Temple. We are so excited for her. She is actually living in New york right know, and is a makeup Artist. She has lived the Ideal life since she has graduated High School. She Has lived in Provo, Utah were she has graduated from U of U. She has also spent a summer in Europe studying abroad. How fun would that be. And for the past year she has been in California living with friends were she went to makeup artist school. she just moved to New York. I wish I could say that I have done all that, Before i was twenty five. I am so proud of her and you has accomplished so much. Congrats on the proposal cant wait to see the Ring.

Last night the boys and I sat down and was watching a movie, talking and catching up. JP said the cutest thing. First let me rewind about a year ago. We were living with my in-laws while our house was being remodeled. One night JP comes in from being out side and said that he had seen an Ghost Wearing all white. over Grandmas house. Crazy hu! Well I told him that it was an angel. Anyways he didn't change his story Ever! Well Last night We were talking and JP said " Remember when I saw the angel over grandmas house, I must be pretty special because only special people see Angels". The things that kids say. Now I just need to remember to journal them.

The Answer to my prayers!!!!!

If anyone is ready to pull out their hair. Or they are saying that they aren't having anymore kids because they cant handle the ones they have. well I have the book for you. I started reading The Power Of Positive Parenting, It has been the answer to my prayers. I am only on the 3rd chapter and i can already see an improvement in my boys and Myself. Not that they were terrible before, I actually have really great kids. But I have seen an improvement on their behavior, They don't fight as much, not as much crying, and Today Parker was upset with me because I started picking up his toys and He wanted to Pick them up. I am not as stressed and I have my house and my life under control. I don't explode as easily. Once Again I have only read to the 3rd chapter. I haven't even got to the good part. I find myself not yelling as much.I focus more on finding all the positive and not focusing on all the negatives it is really a cool book. Enjoy!!! You will have to tell me what you think if you go pick it up.
P.S. I even think the parents that have really young kids read. I wish I would of known about it when I first had Jp. I would of already of been educated in Positive Parenting. It would of saved me allot of stress.

ONCE AGAIN I HAVE GREAT KIDS. I LOVE THEM VERY MUCH!! I JUST KNOW HOW TO BE A MORE ENJOYABLE PARENT AND FRIEND TO MY KIDS!!!

My Weekend!!!

This weekend was pretty eventful. Cj and I went to go see Bourne Ultimatum (which was a very good movie. I could go see it again. When we got home I Scrapbooked and then watched High school Musical 2, Around Midnight. I was so nervous that it wasn't going to be good. Because Sequels are never good, except a select few. But I wasn't disappointed. It was good, very cheesy, but good. I Love Sharpey!Then Cj headed out of town the next morning.

And Woke up and got the boys to watch high school Musical 2 with me. They liked it. We actually watched the first one right after that. I am so glad My boys liked it, that means I will be able to watch it a little more often.

After we watched some movies. I took some Pictures of Parker. He love to get his picture taken, He has to be in the mood. If he isn't you cant make him. Well as you can see he was in the mood and I got some good pictures. Parker will pose and everything. He is so funny!! I love you!!

My little Skateboarder!!!!! today JP comes up to me and says that he wants to practice his skateboarding. So we go out and i watch him skateboard. He actually does pretty good. We don't get to go out often because it is so hot. Today wasn't as bad as most days. The boys love to play outside, we cant wait till it cools down.Then JP can practise his skateboarding all the time. Cj was so proud. "We have a Skateboarder in the Family."

First day of SCHOOL !!!

Jp was so excited to go to school. I woke him up at 7:00 and we got ready. It didn't take very long so we had a little time to sit around. So i told him he could watch some cartoons. He told me that he didn't want to watch cartoons, that he just wanted to go to school. After that i told him that I could make him some breakfast. He didn't want any, and that he would eat when he got home. I think tomorrow I wont wake him up so early. It wasn't really that early, he had gotten himself ready the night before, had his closed picked out and his Backpack ready. Hopefully he is this excited for tomorrow.

We had some time to kill so we went and visited grandma& grandpa that lives a couple of houses down. It was Leslie's first day,so they got pictures together. It was kind of cute because it was Jp's first year to go to school besides preschool and Leslie's Last Year of High school.

Jp Jumped right in and started doing what the teacher had told him to do. They were suppose to build something with the blocks she provided.

Today was a busy and stressfull day. We didnt really do anything either. My wonderful day started out with the stupid sales people calling me at 8:00 in the morning and waking me up. So I started out in a bad mood. Parker would of slept like an hour more if they didnt call so early. then we went and got jp school supplies. Jp loved that. and we ran a few more errands before Harvey had to take his afternoon nap. While Harve was taking his nap we hung around the house. Nothing special. When he woke up, we were off to the scrapbook store and then to the Grocery Store. We had such a crazy day ,Parker had fallen asleep in the car and when i went to put him in the cart he was still asleep and he kept bobing in his head so Jp let him rest his head on his shoulder. I have such terrificate boys. They are such troopers running around with all day. I love you Guys!!!!
